Malaika Sarco-Thomas

Malaika Sarco-Thomas is Head of Dance Studies at the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta. Her teaching and performance research investigate ‘ecological practice’ as a motivation for learning, dancing and creative work. Using improvisation as an ethos for community art projects and as a performance form, she has collaborated with a range of artists and taught in universities, schools and sites across the US, Europe, Asia and Africa.
