This was my first experience in a film production, so I got to see first hand what it involves, the organisation required and the amount of time put in by everyone especially the film crew, not forgetting hair and makeup and all those helping with the organisation especially given that we had children also taking part. One of my biggest gains was the friendships with the other vocal artists, we were all very keen to be part of the opera film and enjoyed our rehearsals, recording and filming days.

Learning the music was easy with the help of Maestro Riccardo Bianchi and there was a clear direction on how the composer, Dr Reuben Pace, wished his music to be interpreted. Dr Pace was actively involved, meeting us to explain the message of the music and text at the beginning of the rehearsals, and joining at the recordings to provide us with any feedback required. All the vocal artists were well prepared so that recording was done quickly and efficiently. Everything was organised extremely well and in advance, giving me the ability to organise my schedule and to be available for all the scheduled rehearsals, recordings and filmings despite my busy work schedule.
